water, so do a little research before using these methods to cleanse or charge your crystals.
There are many methods for cleansing and charging your crystals. Here are a few ways you can try.
Using rock Salt
Place your crystal in a bowl of rock Salt for anything between 1 to 24 hours, depending on the last time your crystal was cleansed.
We normally leave them overnight if we are using this method, unless we have a crystal that we haven’t cleansed in a while, then we would leave it for 24 hours.
You can do the same with saltwater, but do check first that your crystal is OK with this, if they are not good with water, you could damage it.
If you do not want to leave it directly in Salt, you can place your crystal in a glass and put it in the centre of a bowl filled with Salt, leaving it for 48 hours.
Using tap water
Take your crystal and hold it under running water. Think of the water as a sparkling fresh spring, full of light pouring over your crystal, just like a waterfall, washing away all energies of your crystal straight down the plughole. Keep the water running for a while after to charge it, with the sparking light in the water.
Amethyst or Quartz
If you are lucky enough to own an Amethyst Cathedral or Quartz cluster or Geode, place your crystal into or on top of it to cleanse, if it’s been 7-10 days since your last cleanse, leave it there for 24 hours. If it’s more, then leave for 48 hours. This method will also recharge your crystal for you at the same time.
Incense smoke
Slowly turn your crystal between your thumb and forefinger, over the smoke of the incense for roughly a minute, clearing any energies that have bonded to your crystal. To charge it, hold it in your hand, think positive thoughts and visualise the energy flowing from you into your crystal. When it gets warm, it’s done.
