For this edition, we will be looking at how to can create your very own Elemental Gardens with tips and ideas, on how to landscape the four key elements:
Air, Fire, Water & Earth.
Elemental Gardens
It will all depend on how much space you have in your garden or how you want to divide your garden. Big or small, I hope that after reading this you will be able to incorporate something into your garden!
If you don’t have the room to dedicate the entire garden to a specific element, you can either take one element or create a planter/pot with the plants that complement the Elements.
If you have the space and want to dedicate part of the garden to all four of the elements, then there are some key things you need to do.
First, you need to divide the garden into four, plus a centre. This can be done by either using an existing bed or creating a new one.
It can be square, circular or rectangle.
The key point of this is to ensure you have a centre point.
Use a compass to determine the direction on which each part of the Elements should be planted
Air associated plants in the East Fire plants in the South Water plants in the West Earth plants in the North
In the centre you may wish to place an altar, meditation, ritual area, or a focal point such as a favoured tree or plant.
