The Tale of a Reincarnated Egyptian
Priestess from the Temple
of Seti in Abydos
When Dorothy Eady was born in Blackheath London in 1904, no one could have ever possibly conceived that she would play a role in the history of ancient Egypt. Her life, or more importantly, her previous life as Benstreshyt, a priestess at the temple of Seti in Abydos is a fascinating story that we simply could not omit to mention.
At the age of three, Dorothy had a terrible accident. She fell down the stairs in her home. She lay there motionless. A doctor was called. After his thorough examination, he pronounced her dead and carried her to her room. He left to get a death certificate, and a nurse to wash her prior to taking her to a funeral home.
She was an only child, so her parents were more than distraught and did not think to go to her room, as they believed she had passed.

going to her room he was astonished to find the child, sitting up in her room playing. Her father was so very angry with the doctor, he threw him out of the house. The doctor was adamant that all the tests he had completed, led him to believe she was dead and could not explain how she was all of a sudden alive.
