Witches Bells
Protective wards
These easy to make handheld witches wards are so much more than simple decoration adornments in the home, they are protective wards. They would be hung from a doorway (usually on the handle or knob) or from your window handles, to keep negative energy or unwanted spirits out of the home.
So why bells?
A bell is normally a means of gaining attention, whether it be church bells to warn of danger or a celebration such as Christmas, or a wedding, or as an announcement, as an example to let people know it's time for Sunday service. Bells would be rung in towers or on gates centuries ago to warn of invaders or bells would hang from the necks of cows (we have all heard of cow bells). These days many hang them from our familiar collars, for protection, if they allow you to put one on, plus they are handy as you can hear them coming.

collars, so they are sadly able to sneak up on the wildlife.
The sound a ringing bell makes when the clapper bounces from side to side inside the casing, is almost musical in nature. In a previous Flickering home, we lived behind the village church, who rang those bells on a regular basis, living so close, we had to embrace them or would have driven us insane. The sounds they made were interesting, we instinctively knew justbylisteningtothemexactlywhatannouncement or service they were preparing. Funerals, weddings, Sunday service, all had their own special sound, even bell practice was its own musical compilation. It was quite interesting.
Basically, sounds from a bell resonate outwards. What we feel are positive strong vibrations, irrelevant of why they are being rung, pushing away any other energies into oblivion, purifying the surrounding area. This, together with what bells were made of in ancient times, ‘Iron’ is what made bells a ward for protection.
