For those of you, who would like to easily make your own, here is how.
What you need...
Firstly get yourself a bag of ‘Miniature Bells’ they are about £2.99 to £12.99 on Amazon depending on type and how many in a pack you buy. You can mix and match with these if you want, you have the little round bells, you would put on your familiars collar or bell shaped. Go with what you are drawn to.
You will need a metal or rattan ring (very inexpensive on Ebay/Amazon, but can be purchased from any crafting shop, like the Works) or something to hold all your bell strings together, once made.
Cord, string, threads and rope to hang your bells from.
Some black ribbon.
Miniature crafting bows.
Any charms you may want to add, which can be keys, beads, feathers, crystals, runes, charms, pentacles.
Hot glue gun.
So how do you make them?
We will show you a simple way to make one with a rattan ring and thin string. You can then make it your own and be more elaborate with your adornments.
Firstly cleanse all your items and your area that you are making your bells.
Take a long piece of your string/cord and tie it off on your rattan ring. We find the strongest and easiest way is to loop the top of the string, tie it off, then thread your string over the rattan ring through the loop and pull, securing the string on the rattan ring. Now take one of your miniature bows and stick one with your glue gun either side of your string on the loop join.
On the bottom of the string, thread through some beads, then thread the bottom through your bell top and tie it off. You can then wrap some more thread/ string around the knot to give it some more weight.
Your first piece is done.
Repeat this with however many bells you would like to add, but cut the string lengths all different sizes, tying them off close together.
Now to add some charms.
We are going to use some thin black cord string for this. Cut a few lengths or however many you would like and add your charms, feathers, crystals, whatever you like and tie them off on the rattan ring, in between your bells, the same way.
Take your pentacle/pentagram and thread through your cord and tie it to the top of your rattan ring so it hangs in the middle of the middle of the ring.
Then take your black ribbon and make a loop through the top and tie it off, this will enable you to hang your witches bells. You can pop a charm or miniature bow on the join of your ribbon.
If you want to add some more charms on your witches bell strings, just get some thread and tie and secure it on. You can add as many miniature ribbons on the string cords you like with your hot glue gun.
Your Witches Bell is now ready.
You should ground yourself before building your witches bells ward. Once done and you start to build, focus on its intent, what you want it to do, what it is to be used for. Raise energy whilst doing so, by singing, praying, and chanting. Do whatever works for you!
Once you are finished hold your witches bells ward and charge it with your energy.
Give thanks and hang your amulet wherever you feel is right.
Afterwards do not forget to close off and unground.
Every now and then you may start to feel your amulet is becoming ineffective. In that case ground yourself and just like a battery, recharge your amulet.
