The Twelve G G o o d d s s o of f t t h h e e
Zodiac
Of Ancient Egypt
Unlike our fixed month-to-month cycle of a zodiac, the Egyptians believed in when you were born, during a lunar month defined your nature, not in which month you were born.
Whilst it’s a lot more defined than the zodiac we use today, it makes a great deal of sense. It doesn’t group everyone born under one particular lunar month altogether.
So, whilst we know there were 12 Gods of the zodiac, representing the periods which were referred to as decans (months) of the year, their influences were clearer.
It’s also important to note that the influences on a person's characteristics by a particular God may vary depending on the time of the year.
Whilst that all sounds a bit complicated, it really isn't. In fact, you’ll find it’s easy peasy to follow.
See if you find the characteristics of the Gods fit those of friends and family (and yourself).
We’ve actually found quite a few.
