 The Rollright Stones are a collection of three pre-historic sites in close proximity where stones were assembled by our ancestors, clearly with a purpose.

Set In the Cotsworld hills, Oxfordshire
 Set at the foot of the beautiful Cotswold hills, close to the village of Long Compton, this collection of megalithic monuments covers an area that incorporates the boundaries of both Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.
Each of the three sites has been dated to different periods of time, but collectively they are an insight into an area that was clearly of great significance to our ancestors for the best part of 2000 years.
The oldest of the stone monuments is called ‘The whispering Knights’ and has been dated to roughly 3,800-3,500 BC, which makes it early Neolithic.
Whilst the nearby ‘King's Men’ stone circle has been dated to roughly 2,500 BC, making it late Neolithic.
And then there is the much more recent ‘King Stone’ which is believed to have been created during the Bronze Age and has been dated as being
