The new Moon in Libra is an AIr and Cardinal sign
Passing through 180 - 210 degrees longitude across the night sky, balance, and a need for it, is the influence of the Libran new Moon.
Themis, a Titan of ancient Greece, was symbolic of ‘good counsel’ i.e. of having a balanced opinion of both sides of a situation. She is always depicted as holding a scale which to this very day is still used as a symbol of justice in order to literally ‘weigh up’ a situation.
This is reflected in the major influence of Libra which is to assert fairness and balance - i.e. harmony. However, harsh words can be said before knowing all of the facts and balancing the facts of a situation.
The scales also represent sharing and is a time to both forge and seal partnerships, the best of which are based on a give and take basis, creating a harmonious balance.
Whilst Libra have a very strong sense of what’s right and what’s wrong, they crave a partner to create balance and feel complete. Be bold! - A new Moon in Libra is also an ideal time to forge a new relationship.
During this new Moon, be a little more open to a different view, listen a little harder, as you may hear another side of the tale. Exercise a little more tact and don't be too quick to judge. But do voice your final opinion, don't hold it in.
Libra can be somewhat obsessive in what they perceive to be wrong or unfair, and vehemently vocal when they are convinced of an injustice, it’s admirable, but check all of your facts before you sound off... Impulse does not become you!
